Tallow has many fine sporting organisations. The two main clubs are Tallow GAA Club and Brideview United AFC.

Tallow GAA Club

Tallow GAA club can be traced back almost to the foundation of the GAA itself in 1884. Over the years this proud club has kept the flag of Gaelic Games flying high in the town winning at almost every level possible.

Brideview United AFC

Brideview United the local soccer club was formed in 1972. Initially the club played in the Cork AUL where they won the Cork County Cup in 1982.

The cluib now play in the West Waterford/East Cork Junior League.
